Dog Boarding Terms and Conditions
By submitting a booking with Little Barks, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. These terms form a binding agreement between the dog owner (“you”) and Little Barks (“we/us”), and apply to every stay booked with us.
1. Bookings, Payments & Cancellations
Bookings are confirmed once the deposit is paid
Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable
The remaining balance is due any time up to the day of your dog’s stay
Minimum stay: 2 nights
No refund is given for early collection
Cancellations by the owner:
8 - 14 days before the stay: 80% of the total fee payable
7 days or less days before the stay: 100% of the total fee is payable.
Cancellations by Little Barks:
In the unlikely event we are unable to proceed with a booking due to emergency or unforeseen circumstances, we reserve the right to cancel and refund the deposit in full without further liability.
2. Dog Health & Vaccinations
Dogs must be fully vaccinated, flea- and worm-treated, and microchipped
Vaccination records must be shown at the first stay and after boosters
Dogs must arrive clean, healthy, and flea-free
Owners must supply sufficient food, medication, bedding, and any comfort items for the entire stay
If insufficient food is supplied, owners agree to reimburse any additional costs
3. Behaviour, Suitability & Socialisation
Dogs must be non-aggressive, well-handled, and suitable for a home environment
We cannot accept dogs with known aggression towards people or other dogs
Dogs are expected to be house-trained, sleep through the night and not be excessively boisterous or destructive
Female dogs in season cannot be boarded; if this occurs during a stay, the emergency contact will be required to collect the dog without refund
Owners must provide full and honest disclosure of their dog’s behaviour
Trial stays are compulsory for all new dogs.
Dogs will socialise with other dogs at their own risk
Failure to disclose relevant behavioural or health information may result in termination of the stay without refund.
4. Emergency Care & Veterinary Treatment
If your dog becomes unwell or injured, we may seek veterinary treatment immediately
Owners agree to cover all veterinary fees incurred
Emergency contact details are required to make decisions if you are unavailable
We recommend (but do not require) pet insurance for illness, injury, and third-party liability
If your dog causes injury to another dog or person, you accept responsibility for any resulting costs
5. Damage, Destruction & Early Termination
If a dog becomes aggressive, destructive, uncontrollable, or highly distressed, we reserve the right to end the stay early
In such cases, your emergency contact will be required to collect your dog or alternative care may be arranged at your cost
No refund will be given if a stay is ended early for behavioural reasons
6. Boarding Environment & Daily Care
Dogs are cared for in a calm, home-from-home environment
Sleeping arrangements are in the dog’s own bed or designated area, unless agreed otherwise
Dogs must be able to settle independently overnight
If your dog requires close human contact at night, this must be discussed in advance
7. Walks, Transport & Off-Lead Exercise
Off-lead exercise is only provided with owner consent
Owners accept responsibility for third-party liability during walks, outings, or transportation
By booking, you acknowledge the inherent risks associated with transport and outdoor exercise
8. Collection, Abandonment & Refusal of Service
If a dog is not collected within 24 hours of the agreed end date and the owner cannot be contacted, the emergency contact will be notified to collect the dog.
Little Barks reserves the right to refuse or terminate services if it is in the best interest of the dogs, the household, or the business
9. Insurance & Liability
Little Barks holds public liability insurance including care, custody, and control of animals
Insurance does not cover veterinary fees or damage caused by a guest dog
Little Barks cannot be held liable for loss, injury, or death beyond reasonable care or beyond the replacement value of the dog
