We are a 5 star licenced home dog boarding provider, based in Bedlington, Northumberland. If you're looking for a loving and trustworthy home boarder for your toy or small breed dog, look no further.
Every dog that stays with us is considered a part of our extended family. With freedom to roam, sofas and comfy dog beds to relax on, full access to our large and secure garden and plenty of love and attention, it's no surprise we see the same faces and wagging tales coming back time and time again!
Our property sits alongside Bedlington Nature Reserve - 140 acres of woodland and grassland on the banks of the River Blyth. Providing miles of varied walking trails, all within a 5 minute walk from our front door. The coast is a 5 minute drive away.
We're licenced by Northumberland County Council, meeting the highest standards (5 star - licence NAL/271), are comprehensively insured, DBS checked and hold a current canine first aid certification.
Daily walks, tailored to suit your dogs age and abilities.
Access to a large, south facing, secure garden for exercise, enrichment and play. We have a sand pit and splash pool in warmer weather, as well as plenty of shaded areas to relax.
Enrichment activities to keep your dogs mind engaged.
Quiet times throughout the day so dogs can relax and nap.
Freedom to roam - we never crate dogs unless this is a part of the dogs usual routine (i.e. dogs who sleep in crates).
Lots of one on one attention throughout the day.
We are happy to continue your dogs feeding and medication schedule while you're away.
Drop off and collection times are flexible and we're only a 20 minutes drive from Newcastle Airport.
Peace of mind while you are away with regular photo and video updates via WhatsApp.
The best way to contact us is via WhatsApp, text or email to firstly let us know the dates you're looking for. We're generally busy throughout the day and don't have our calendar to hand 90% of the time when we answer a phone call! We can then exchange some information about your dog such as breed and neuter / vaccination status etc. If happy to proceed we can then book your dog in for a meet and greet and trial night.
Meet and Greet / Trial Night - A meet and greet can be arranged, followed by a trial night. This gives us the opportunity to get to know your dog better and to make sure we are the best fit for your dog. A trial night helps to ensure they're able to settle and get on with our own and other guest dogs. We find it also helps dogs to adjust quickly when they come for their longer stay. Trial nights must be paid in full upon booking and are non refundable.
All dogs who stay with us must:
Be fully vaccinated, microchipped and up to date with flea and worm treatment.
Male dogs must be neutered and not prone to marking. We cannot accept females in season.
Be 100% house trained, not prone to marking or accidents.
Not be overly boisterous or reactive.
Be able to sleep on their own dog bed, either in our room or in a separate room (we can provide dog beds).
Generally get on well with a variety of other ages and breed of dog and be respectful of other dogs boundaries.
Be free from separation anxiety - this is important. We may need to pop out anywhere from 10 minutes to 3 hours in any given day. Dogs are never left alone for more than 3 hours in 24 and will always be safely separated via baby gates or closed doors.
Be a toy or small breed. Sorry, but we cannot accept dogs who are a mix of small and medium breeds (i.e cockerpoo). We love and have owned a variety of dog breeds but our sole focus is on toy and small breeds.
